Large 9" all-bisque, so called "French Wrestler",
mold 102 with famous musculine shapely body
made by Kestner.
Very early and beautiful example of a very large
all-bisque doll with swivel neck and rare huge
blue inset paperweight glass eyes.
Multi-stroke painted brows, lavishly painted
upper and lower lashes, square cut teeth with
two on top and one on the bottom. Antique full
brown mohair wig over original Kestner plaster
pate.
The doll has swivel neck, pegged shoulders and
hips, molded black multi-strapped bootines
with very unusual blue stockings.
Great molded, stocky body with shaded muscle
tone, one arm straighter and the other bent.
